About Box n Go Storage and Moving Rooms
Each BoxNgo storage container measures 1.525m wide by 2.4m long by 2.15m high and holds about 1 to 1 ½ rooms of furniture (7 cubic metres), or 40 to 50 assorted sized packing cartons, with a total capacity of 1 tonne.
BoxNgo storage containers are built out of weather resistant exterior grade plywood and dry timber (sourced from sustainable forests) to provide a very stable, breathable and chemical free storage solution during the storing and transporting of your belongings.
The wood frame construction allows the BoxNgo storage containers to "breathe" so that they equalize with the environment around them. When a BoxNgo storage container is stored outdoors at your house for a few days, the climate inside the BoxNgoo storage container equalizes to the climate outside of it, preventing condensation. When you are finished loading your BoxNgo storage container, we transport it either to our storage shed or to your new location. At this point the climate inside the BoxNgo storage container equalizes to its new environment. The same process repeats itself when we return the BoxNgo storage containers to your door. This keeps your goods and belongings smelling just like they did when you packed them.
Metal storage containers that are airtight and made of steel, aluminium or fiberglass develop condensation during this process because the temperature inside the storage room changes but the water vapor in the air has nowhere to go, potentially leading to mold and mildew. The aluminium or fiberglass doesn't help because it doesn't breath.
Each BoxNgo storage container has a large, single door to facilitate loading of large pieces of furniture. This door is fixed to the BoxNgo storage container by several hinges and fastened top and bottom by two fasteners for locking with a padlock. Your storage containers are secured and locked by the customer and no one other than the key holder has access.
When the BoxNgo storage container is out of our storage centre for loading or unloading and packing, each room is covered with a highly durable, heavy-duty, weather-resistant Tarpol cover engineered to protect your belongings. This cover is impervious to rain but still allows the BoxNgo storage container to breathe because of its Velcro closures and strategically placed waterproof vents.
There is no need to carry your items up a ramp or lift them onto a dock. Your BoxNgo Portable Storage Container is placed at ground level and door access is about 100mm above ground level. This prevents the moisture (be it rain or sprinklers) from the ground from affecting anything inside the BoxNgo storage container.
